What size is my screen?

What is my display size?

For physical monitor inches, enter your diagonal in the monitor calculator. Browsers do not reliably expose diagonal size automatically.

Why is viewport smaller?

Browser chrome, window size, zoom, responsive mode, OS scaling, and mobile address bars can all make the viewport smaller than the full display.

Why does DPR matter?

DPR explains how CSS pixels map to physical pixels. It is useful for sharp images, screenshots, canvas work, and high-DPI testing.

What size is my screen in pixels?

The screen resolution value shows your display pixel grid, such as 1920 by 1080 or 2560 by 1440. The viewport value may be smaller because browser chrome, zoom, and window size affect the page area.

Are screen dimensions and viewport dimensions the same?

No. Screen dimensions usually describe the full display resolution, while viewport dimensions describe the CSS area available to the webpage. Responsive layouts usually react to viewport size first.

Can this page detect my monitor size in inches?

Browsers cannot reliably expose physical monitor size in inches. Use the Monitor Size Checker with your monitor diagonal and resolution when you need estimated physical width, height, and PPI.
